Today’s Episode, Flossing and Shinin', Jewelry Stores in Second Life
But first...
Do you Spend Hours Traveling to Meetings? Do you spend more time traveling to meetings than you actually do meeting? Is that really productive?
Now there's great news for anyone who feels unproductive. There IS an easier and more affordable way - Go To Meeting - the award-winning service that lets you hold meetings over the internet with people in multiple locations.

Today on the show we're going to talk about jewelry, and when I say jewelry I do not mean those five-inch-thick glowing platinum monstrosities worn around the neck of every shirtless long-haired blingtard you find hitting on every single girl in the club. I'm talking about the good stuff, the sorts of stuff you will not find in a pawn shop with a blood stain on the clasp. All of these stores were not chosen by me, I promise. To do this episode I got a little help from the shopaholics around me. Thanks Hope and Daph!
The first store used to be called H & M Jewelry. Ahem, I said H & M, not S & M. Sorry to disappoint. But it's recently been changed to the JCNY Collection. JCNY carries a smaller collection of jewelry than most stores, but it's all very high quality both in design and build. Along with the standard necklaces, bracelets, rings, and piercings, they have an eclectic selection non-tacky accessories. Well, except for the thigh-high dominatrix boots with the metal stilletto heels. They've also got a good selection of wedding items, in case you've found the avatar of your dreams -- or at least your weekend.
The second store is Elexor Matador Jewelry (EMJ).When you walk in to this modern design showroom you will notice the jewelry is available in 3 metal colors and 15 gem colors so you can get the right combination of Gunmetal and Ruby or Platinum and Sapphire to please your Second Life wife, or girlfriend. Pieces are available individually or you can pick up a set for some deeper discounts. EMJ also carries men's jewelry, watches, and wedding band sets. Lex has a few set available with color-change gems, in case you can't remember if your partner likes onyx, opals, or tanzanite.
Finally, we go to Earthtones. The jewelry here varies from classics to casual. The pieces are available in several metal and gem combinations. A few of the sets, the Timeless Classics line and the Organic Ring Collection even have color-changing gems. The casual jewelry is elegant enough to give as a gift, but not so over the top that the recipient will think you're looking to settle down and raise a little brood of prim babies. Men's jewelry is also available although, unfortunately, none of it contains tacky bling. Earthtones has gift certificates too, in case you are completely baffled as to what to get for that special avatar on your Christmas list.
